Wye near Ashford
Saturday 6 February 2010
This was a 6 mile walk with stunning views from the top of the North Downs. There was a steady and then steep climb up from Wye village following the North Downs Way, past the Wye Crown which was carved into the chalk on the hillside in 1902, along the top of the Downs and into Wye National Nature Reserve. We then passed the Devil's Kneading Trough which is a steep sided coombe valley formed in the last ice age, and headed down towards Brook and back to Wye.
